JUNE

June 7  Cheryl Thompson-Draper meets with Kelly Aimone and Cindy Kruppa to plan Jackson County Republican Party club

June 11-16  Texas GOP Convention San Antonio -we had 24 members and associate members as Delegates/Alternates

in the 3 county parties we represent- Lavaca, DeWitt and Gonzales

June 15 at Convention- TFRW Tribute to Women- honorees- Brenda Cash and Cheryl Thompson-Draper from our club- many members attended

June 18-26   Early Voting for Special Election CD 27

June 19 Lavaca County RP meeting ORGANIZATIONAL – Our RWOYA President- took office as Chairman of LCRP.

Many of our RWOYA members and associate members are LCRP CEC members.  And made report at CEC meeting on RWOYA activities

June 19 Jackson County Republican Women- first called meeting to organize-

June 20   RWoYA  monthly meeting

June 28  TFRW/GHFRW   Treasurer’s training- Jackie McNearney and Cheryl Thompson-Draper attended

June 30  SPECIAL ELECTION for US Congressman CD 27 Michael Cloud- our members worked to get him elected

 

JULY

July   no RWOYA meeting

July 6-7Half Moon Holidays Parade, Shiner, Tx. – Our club had a float in the parade

July 17   Jackson County Republican Women- FIRST meeting- Cheryl Thompson-Draper and Becky Berger helped

to support the start of this new club- FIRST MEETING

July 20-21 TFRW Quarterly board meeting- Cheryl Thompson-Draper attended

July 29  Moulton Annual Town & Country Jamboree parade- Our club had a booth at the event to promote our club & parties we represent

 

AUGUST

August 8  RWoYA monthly meeting

August 11 SREC SD 18 meeting – 3rd quarter

August 11   Greater Houston Federated RW hosted Diamond and Silk- many of our members attended

August 14  LCRP CEC meeting- Pct. Chairman Training and made report at CEC meeting on RWOYA activities

August 18  Ted Cruz Rally in Victoria- many RWOYA members attended  

August 19 Crossoads HSRTx 1:30 Shiner Bapt Church- Our club President

and Past President sponsored the creation of this new High School Club    FIRST MEETING

August 23  Jackson County Republican Women meeting- several attended

August 25 REPUBLICAN RALLY (Rafael Cruz keynote) 6-9 pm – over 300 attended-

Fundraiser for club and in association with LCRP and DeWitt GOP

 

SEPTEMBER

September 11    Lavaca County RP CEC Meeting-made report at CEC meeting on RWOYA activities

September 12  Yearly Constitutional Essay Contest – take info to schools and judge essays

September 12    RWoYA monthly meeting

September 15  SREC SD 18 meeting  in Washington County- many members attended

September 16  Crossroads High School Republicans meeting in Cuero

September 20  Jackson County RW meeting- members of our club attended

September 25 NATIONAL Voter Registration day- Lavaca County - Shiner (Library & Werner’s) & Moulton (Klosel’s)

Several RWOYA members are Deputy Voter Registrars and had tables for people to register .

September 29  Kolache Fest & Parade, Hallettsville. Tx. Participated in the Kolache Fest parade (our group of Republicans (RWOYA LCRP and CHSRT) won 3rd place and a table set up with club materials, membership forms and had our club banner hanging up during the event, 

             

OCTOBER

Oct 5-7 Come and Take It Parade & event, Gonzales, Tx. Our members helped with the event and was on the parade

October 8 Last day to register to vote in Nov 6 Election

October 9 LCRP CEC meeting /made report at CEC meeting on RWOYA activities

October 10 RWoYA meeting-  Constitutional Essay Awards & Officer Elections

October  12-13 TFRW 4th Quarter Board meeting-  Jackson County RW  chartered-

October 13  Gonzales 2nd Amendment RALLY- many of our club members attended and helped with the event

First Quarter 2017 Report to TFRW

January 14th-We sponsored and hosted the SREC 18 meeting,

January 17th -several of our new officers attended the leadership training in Houston (TFRW/GHCFRW),

& Our club joined the Greater Houston Federated Council of Republican Women

January 21  RWOYA members attended and manned membership tables to market our club at the

Shiner Chamber of Commerce Banquet

January 25 RWOYA members attended and manned membership tables to market our club at the

Hallettsville Chamber of Commerce Banquet

February  10  RWOYA members attended and manned membership tables to market our club at the

Gonzales Chamber of Commerce Banquet 

March 6 RWOYA members attended and manned membership tables to market our club at the 

Moulton Chamber of Commerce Banquet

March 7 Attended and reported at the De Witt  County Republican Party quarterly meeting

March 14th - Attended and reported at the Lavaca County Republican Party quarterly meeting

March 18th  was our first Czech Polka Fundraiser dance (first of two events celebrating our 50th anniversary)

Everyone in attendance had a lot of fun !.

April 5- RWOYA monthly meeting – our speaker was: Mark S Hall  

April 5th & 6th- Several members attended: TFRW Belles and Boots Gala & Legislative Day in Austin

April 29- Many members attended the SREC meeting

May 2-Attended and reported at the DeWitt County Republican Party quarterly meeting

May 10-RWoYA monthly meeting -our speaker was Pastor Dave Welch

May 19- Warriors Weekend Luncheon, Vietnam Veterans of America 8  Lone Star Chapter 854 

Monica Foyt attended and represented for us.

May 24-RWoYA Executive Board meeting/ 2nd Quarter & our 50th Anniversary Fundraising Committee meeting

May 29- We had several women representing RWOYA at Memorial Day Presentations of Wreaths in Yoakum, Shiner, Hallettsville, Cuero & Yorktown

May 10 meeting we voted to move our monthly meetings to the SECOND WEDNESDAY of EVERY MONTH...beginning in June 2017.

Third Quarter 2017 Report to TFRW

 

JULY 23  2-4 ICE CREAM SOCIAL at the Yoakum City Park

August 25-28 - Survived Hurricane Harvey & began relief efforts

September- twice we received 18 wheeler truck loads of supplies from California RW -

we helped to unload and distribute through Moulton High School Disaster Distribution center

September 14- Many members attended the 1st Annual De Witt County Republican Party Fundraiser

September- Distributed Pocket Constitutions and Now you are 18 booklets to Seniors at all high schools in our 3 counties

and held our constitutional essay contest

September 30- Hallettsville Kolache Fest Parade and meet and greet membership table at the event

 

Fourth Quarter 2017 Report to TFRW

 

October 6- Gonzales Come and Take It Parade and meet and greet membership table on the square

October 11 - RWOYA's 9th Annual Constitutional Essay Contest Award Ceremony with Senator Lois Kolkhorst

October 18-21- TFRW Biennial Convention in Dallas - 7 Delegates attended where we elected our member: Becky Berger as VP Finance of TFRW

October 27 Hiway Dedication for late Lavaca County Sheriff Dodds

Nov 1 Hiway Dedication for late Sgt. David M. Furrh

November 7 Amendments Elections- our members are Pct. election judges and workers in all 3 counties

Nov 11  50th Anniversary Celebration our 50th Anniversary- we are one of the oldest clubs in Texas…founded in 1966.

Our plans include local wine, beer & cheese tastings ,meal by Werner's, a live Auction (no more than 10 items), local and state wide elected officials, Keynote Speaker is Ryan Sitton Rail Road Commissioner

January 12th, set up a booth at the Gonzales County Youth Engagement Day to register voters and give out voter education material.

January 28th, set up booth at the Hallettsville Chamber of Commerce Banquet to advertise our club and promote Republican philosophy.

January 30th, set up booth at the Shiner Chamber of Commerce,

January 31st- Candidate Forum with 40+ candidates in attendance (local/statewide/National)

                           It was a  HUGE success

February 6th, five  members attended the TFRW Leadership Training Day in Houston,

March- Primary Election- members were involved as Pct. chairmen, judges and volunteers in all three counties

March- Prescient and County Conventions- members involved on all levels in all 3 counties

March- Patriotic History books given to all Junior High School Libraries

April 10th with an Annual Veteran's Appreciation Day

May 12th-14, 14 RWOYA members served as Delegates/Alternates to the State Republican Convention    Cheryl Thompson-Draper (Organization Committee) & Becky Berger (Platform Committee)

Becky Berger was elected as a National Republican Convention delegate from our club

RWOYA was recognized with a Grass Roots award at the State Convention

May 20th   helped with the Warrior's Weekend Luncheon

September-We trained to use the Governor Abbotts Advantage 16 app

September-Kolache Fest parade and a table set up with club materials, membership forms Donated $100 to the Kolache Fest  and had our club banner hanging up during the event,  set up a table at the Kolache Fest and had Trump signs available and people donated to the cause

September and October Sponsored a Seniors Scholarship Essay contest, gave each a Pocket Constitution & Now That You're 18 book  and awarded 4 scholarships to the top winners of the essay contest

November elections- RWOYA members served as Pct. chairs, Pct. judges, election volunteers in all three counties

December- Our Annual Christmas Party – thank you Patty Mabry for the use of your lovely home

During the year we have hosted and served the SREC/SD 18 meetings

We Created new brochures about the club

We Created a new RWOYA website, Facebook & Twitter presence
